A flood watch is in effect for the northwestern districts of Barbados.
Barbados Meteorological Services reports that a light southeasterly wind regime, sufficient humidity and daytime warming are generating localized activity in the northwestern districts of the island. Accumulations of one to two inches of rain are expected, which could result in flooding in the area.
Residents and visitors should prepare for heavy downpours from higher elevations. Soil erosion is likely on bare or scarred soil surfaces, and debris such as small rocks, mud, and tree leaves can end up on roads and property. Traffic delays are likely.
