LUMA Energy’s security director, Abner Gómez, stated on RADIO ISLA that “we must prepare for disruption” in the face of the passage of Tropical Storm Fiona near Puerto Rico.
“In all parts of the world where a storm like this passes, there will always be damage. It is expected that there may be some landslides causing the loss of poles. Some lines may (fall) due to gusts of wind,” Gómez explained.
Abner Gómez reported that LUMA Energy has already established its emergency operations center and regional operations centers. Gómez explained that the company has over 1,300 line workers and brigades ready to respond to emergencies.
