Briefly on the Buckeyes
- Ohio State is up three spots in this week’s NFHCA poll at No. 19. The Buckeyes are one of seven Big Ten teams ranked in the top 25.
- The Buckeyes themselves have wins over Northeastern (4-0), Albany (3-0) and Lehigh (4-0).
- Seven different players have scored for the red and gray, led by the back four of Cameryn Forgash, Hallie Brost, Zella Bailey and Claudia Thomas, who each have two goals.
- Defensively, Ohio State is the only team in the nation that has yet to give up a goal.
- Goalie Abby Danson was the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 29 and had 12 saves in three starts.
- The Buckeyes have outscored their three opponents 59-23, including a 37-8 margin in the second and third quarters combined.
A history lesson against Miami
- Sunday will be the 49th all-time meeting between Ohio State and Miami.
- The two schools first met in 1971 and have played almost every year since then.
- Ohio State has won nine of its last 11 games.
- Seven of those 11 games have been decided by one goal.
- Last season, Leanne Bough scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win on 6 September.

- Miami is 2-2 on the season and is coming off back-to-back losses last weekend on the road.
- The Redhawks defeated Cal (3-1) and St. Francis (4-0) to start the season before falling to Harvard (1-0) and Brown (3-2).
- Before Sunday’s game, Miami travels to Ann Arbor, Mich. to tangle with the Wolverines on Thursday, September 8th.
