An engineer by training, Olavo was president of the Rio de Janeiro Chamber of Commerce (ACRJ), a member of the Rio 2016 Business Council, the Municipal Development Council (Comudes), as well as a founding member of the Institute for the Study of Industrial Development ( IEDI).
