With the passage of a new tropical wave, Guadeloupe has been on orange alert for several minutes. Heavy rains and storms which mark the beginning of flooding, especially on the Boucan side, in Sainte-Rose.
A rainy weekend predicted by Météo France. In question, the passage of tropical wave number 27 causing rainy episodes in the archipelago. Initially placed on yellow alert at the break of the meridian, Guadalupe is now on orange alert for heavy rains and thunderstorms.
Rescue intervention in Sainte-Rose
On the side of the Petite Rivière de la Boucan in Sainte-Rose, the rainfall caused an increase in the water level in Navarre and the towns of this sector; blocking traffic in both directions.
Firefighters intervened in the early hours of the afternoon to rescue the driver of the vehicle stuck in a canal. Fortunately, the man is unharmed. The fall is in progress.
