OPP seize $4 million in illegal cannabis plants

Police seized $4 million worth of illegal cannabis plants and arrested three people after a raid on a property on Highway 24 north of Simcoe on Wednesday.
“Our community street crime unit has been very effective with proactive drug investigations,” Insp. Jodi Kays, detachment commander, Norfolk OPP, said of the search. “This is another example that highlights how Norfolk County police and bylaw enforcement continue to work with community members in partnership to solve crime.”
Investigations are ongoing and further arrests are expected.

The OPP, Haldimand/Norfolk Community Street Crimes Unit, Brant/Oxford Street Crimes Unit, Emergency Response Team and Norfolk County bylaw officers participated in the search.
