Erasmo Carlos died today, November 22, at the Barra D’Or Hospital, in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Due to the deterioration of his health, he resumed clinical treatment yesterday (21) and had to be intubated.
Since the end of October, the artist was struggling with an oedemagenic syndrome, a disease caused by an imbalance in the biochemical forces that hold fluids inside the blood vessels.
