The sounds of MIA (Brazilian Popular Music) and National Rock fell silent once more. Erasmo Carlos died today, November 22, at the Barra D’Or Hospital, in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. Due to the deterioration of his health, he resumed clinical treatment yesterday (21) and had to be intubated.

Since the end of October, the artist was struggling with an oedemagenic syndrome, a disease caused by an imbalance in the biochemical forces that hold fluids inside the blood vessels.

In his musical career, he was the greatest musical partner of King Roberto Carlos. It was almost “impossible” not to attend Roberto’s shows, by the way, his great friend. Already in the new guard, the famous “Tremendão”. He was 81 years old.
