NEW ORLEANS, December 8, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG) a leading provider of life, accident and health insurance across the Americas, announced the appointment of William “Bill” Hines to the company’s Board of Directors, beginning from January 1, 2023.
Mr. Hines is the managing partner of Jones Walker, one of the largest law firms in the US with more than 355 attorneys providing a wide range of legal services to large public and private multinational corporations, Fortune® 500 companies, central money banks, worldwide insurers and emerging companies. He is also a member of the Corporate Practice Group. In addition to his leadership role at Jones Walker, Mr. Hines is actively involved in the business, cultural, civic and charitable communities of the New Orleans region.

He has also held executive and leadership positions with the New Orleans Business Council, the New Orleans World Trade Center, the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation (including serving as co-chair of the 2003 Final Four Host Committee), and the civic task force that convinced the NBA Hornets (now the Pelicans) to relocate to New Orleans. Mr. Hines also regularly supports a wide range of charitable, cultural and educational institutions based in New Orleans.
In recognition of his service and contributions, he was selected by NOLA Media Group for the New Orleans Tricentennial “300 for 300” list as one of the 300 people who made New Orleans a better place over the past 300 years .
