Angolan police today prevented a demonstration that was due to start at the Santa Ana cemetery and arrested three people after the Lusa news agency interviewed them at the site on the outskirts of Luanda.

Calls for an anti-election fraud demonstration at a Santa Ana cemetery circulated on social media this week.

However, it did not take place, as several people were arrested, as Lusa pointed out at the scene, which was almost deserted around 13:00, except for vehicles and police personnel.
