Peru aims to improve the battle management system of its submarines

The Peruvian Navy (MGP) has set itself the task of improving the battle management system capabilities of its 209/1200 submarines.

It has therefore launched the so-called Quipu project, which aims to develop new tracking motion analysis (TMA) algorithms used to determine range, direction and contact speed parameters.

The term Quipu refers to a system for storing information using a series of knots, wool or cotton threads of different colors, which was used by the Incas and other cultures in ancient Peru.
