MONROE, CT – Kids cooled off in a splash and went down a giant inflatable slide during the fourth annual Carnival Day run by the Monroe Summer Day Camp on the grounds of the Monroe Congregational Church Thursday afternoon.
The carnival is also being held on Friday for the 75 children registered at the camp this week. Children’s ages range from 3 to 13 years old.
On Thursday kids took turns wielding a Wiffle bat to hit a candy-filled piñata, bounced around in a bounce house and navigated an inflatable obstacle course.
Day campers got tattoos and ate snow cones and cotton candy while listening to tunes played by a deejay from Heavenly Sounds Inc.
Karen Mucherino, who founded the camp in 2019, also praised the CT Bounce House for making the carnival happen.
