GREENVILLE, NC – East Carolina women’s soccer travels to Philadelphia, Pa. on Sunday for a matchup with the Temple Owls. The start is scheduled for 12:30. The game will be available to stream on ESPN+.

Last time out

The Pirates’ winless streak was extended to five games, losing three in a row with a tough 1-0 loss at conference no. 1 of UCF. Despite taming the Knights’ attack, ECU couldn’t find a goal of their own and a lone fifth-minute goal proved to be the difference.

Discovery of owls

Temple has had a rough run this season. At 1-9-4 overall and 0-6 in conference play, the Owls picked up their lone win over Long Island University. Temple has scored just one goal in conference play, in a 3-1 loss against Cincinnati on Oct. 9, and recently suffered back-to-back 2-0 losses to Memphis and South Florida.

Only six players have scored for the Owls and only two have multiple goals: Kathryn Cortiz and Carly Steinberg with two each.

History of the Series

ECU leads the all-time short streak 4-2-2 dating back to 2014. Neither team has won back-to-back games in the series, something the Pirates will look to change on Sunday.
