In a significant departure from previous years, Plymouth Old Settlers 2022 kicked off their event with a carnival atmosphere. Games, petting zoos, horse rides and more dotted Plymouth Square Park as the event got rolling.
Vendors of all kinds were also welcome, giving the park a small version of a flea market. Food was plentiful, with Sullivan Auctioneers offering pulled pork on the menu.
Music also helped close out the evening, with the Beck Brothers Band headlining the night. Their performance was dominated by country, modern and classical music.
The evening also provided an opportunity for old friends from near and far to meet to enjoy the fun and reunions that served to relive old memories.
Also nearby, 2022 Hancock County Fair Queen Emma Whitaker mingled with the crowd in attendance, a form of meet and greet especially for those unable to attend this year’s fair.
Justine Sargeant, one of the organizers of the event, was enthusiastic about the results of the opening night. She called it an unqualified success.
