The Office of the Prime Minister is assuring Barbadians that Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley was not involved in any accidents during her recent trip overseas.
“It’s fake news!” said the prime minister tonight.
Over the past two days, a number of local and regional media reported that a plane carrying Prime Minister Mottley and Guyana’s President Irfan Ali skidded off the runway after landing, prompting a response from emergency personnel.
The prime minister has explained that it is normal procedure for emergency apparatus, including fire brigades and official vehicles transporting the president and his guests, to meet the plane on the runway.
