Experts have appealed to Notting Hill Carnaval revelers who may have seen a man allegedly try to pull a woman onto the tracks at King’s Cross tube station.

Arthur Hawrylewicz, 41, is said to have then been hit by a train during the incident on the Hammersmith & City line platform just before 1.30pm on August 29.

He and his wife, Maria Osifeso, are believed to have known each other.

Hawrylewicz was treated at the hospital for head injuries.

British Transport Police said the suspect, of Avondale Gardens, Cardiff, has since been charged with attempted murder.

Hawrylewicz remains in custody ahead of a plea and pretrial hearing at Inner London Crown Court on September 28.

A week later, the force appealed for anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward and help.

Detective Sergeant Mike Blakeburn, of the BTP’s Major, Serious and Organized Crime Team, said: “Our investigation is continuing apace since the incident at King’s Cross tube station this time last week.

“We know that at the time of the incident, the platform was extremely busy with passengers attending the Notting Hill Carnival.

“I would like to make a direct plea to anyone who saw what happened and has not already spoken to the police to come forward, as your account could be vital to our investigation.”

Witnesses can text 61016 and call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 266 of 29/08/22, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
