Police Arrest Male after Weapon Brandished in Kitchener Robbery

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Police have arrested and charged a man in connection with a robbery in Kitchener.

On November 5, 2022, at approximately 6:55 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery at a business in the area of ​​Kingsway Drive and Wilson Avenue.

A male suspect entered a business, stole merchandise and brandished a knife at an employee. The suspect fled and was found nearby by officers.

No physical injuries were reported from this incident.

As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old Kitchener man was arrested and charged with:

  • Robbery
  • ATTACK
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes
  • Violation of judicial order

The man was taken into police custody for a bail hearing.
