Police Investigating after Firearm Brandished during Robbery in Waterloo

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a person-to-person robbery in Waterloo.

On October 2, 2022, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police responded to the area of ​​Phillip Street and Columbia Street West after a female reported being approached by an unknown male while walking in the area.

The man demanded money from the woman brandishing a firearm. The male then left the area.

The victim, a 20-year-old woman, did not suffer any physical injuries.

The male was described as Black, in his mid-teens, wearing black clothing and carrying a package.

The investigation is ongoing.
