A schoolboy has died following a ‘serious incident’ at a fair this morning.
Emergency crews were called to the Forrest Family Fair in a park in Dover, Kent at around 7.45am.
An area of the park where the fair was being held has been surrounded by police, with ambulances and fire engines at the scene.
An investigation has been launched to establish exactly what happened as the dial was not due to open until later today.
Forrest Amusements, which runs the fair, declined to comment to MailOnline.
When asked about local reports – that a group had broken in and set off on a journey before the accident – a spokesman declined to comment further.

A crime scene has been set up and Pencester Garden Fair has been placed under lockdown.
The Showmen’s Society of Great Britain was not immediately available for comment on the tragedy.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently unclear, but South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed that a teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman said: ‘We were called at 7.42am this morning to a serious incident at Pencester Gardens in Dover.
“We immediately dispatched a number of clinical resources to the scene, including our HART team and Critical Care Paramedics, however, sadly, a teenage boy was pronounced dead at the scene.”
