Occurring every two weeks since 1999, in the former Ponte de Tábuas Bookstore, in Jardim Botânico, passing from Barteliê, to Ipanema and the DaConde Bookstore, in Leblon, bringing together young and established poets, “Ponte de Versos” has always been important to poetics. activity. From Rio.

The event is divided into “Main Courses”, where guest poets read for 10 minutes each. Then, “Sweetness” is opened to the public, in which those present can recite a poem, and finally “Saideira”, with the reading of a short poem each. A “Dedication Poem” can also be read, in which each participant can choose a poem and dedicate the reading to any person present at random. That person will then choose another poem and another person to dedicate their reading to, and so on, until the last person dedicates the reading of a poem to the person who started the game. Always poems and people fit these random choices. It is the opposite of the “occult poet”, which was done at Christmas, where each poet was chosen to write a poem for another poet without his knowledge. Thereza Christina Motta invented this joke, creating the “Proclaimed Poet”. At the last Bridge of Verses, “Dedicated Poem” was performed among all those present, even those who were not poets. Coincidences between the themes of poems and dedicated people always surprise readers.

“Ponte de Versos” will take place on 13/12 (Tuesday), from 18:00 to 21:00, at Blooks Botafogo, in Praia de Botafogo, 316 (Espaço Itaú de Cinema). Free for all ages and free entry.

This event, being the last of the year, will be recorded for the YouTube channel, tvspiritualidarte.
