Popular Character Breakfast Returning to All Carnival Cruise Ships

For the first time since resuming cruise operations in July 2021, Carnival Cruise Line is bringing back its whimsical Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast event featuring The Cat in the Hat and Friends. The one-time offer per cruise will again be available across the entire fleet from 1 October 2022.

Seuss at Sea Breakfast Returns

Carnival hinted at the return of this popular event a few days ago along with other changes to offers on boardbut its return has now been confirmed and guests will be able to book this themed breakfast on all sailings departing on or after Saturday 1 October.

The relaunch of the colorful and whimsical breakfast event comes shortly after Carnival Cruise Line has restarted other popular dining options that were closed either due to pandemic conditions or staff shortages that have plagued the cruise industry since the relaunch.

Earlier this month, backstage gallery mug returned as part of the Chef’s Table dining experience, which itself had been on hiatus from mid-May to late June. Similarly, the afternoon tea event—a popular social intervention for many guests— returned to all Carnival ships from 6 September 2022.

Other dining options that have also recently returned to Carnival ships include the full reopening of Cucina del Capitano in early August and the introduction of new onboard beverage choices, including strong seltzer and new exclusive lagers.

Around morning

The Green Eggs and Bacon Breakfast contains much more than just oddly colored eggs and familiar pork products. Also on the menu are brightly colored fruit, fluffy gravity-defying pancakes, French toast, Moose Juice (orange juice) and Goose Juice (apple juice).

Traditional breakfast offerings are also part of the stunning menu, such as fruit parfaits, omelets, cereals, steak and eggs, coffee and more – finished off with sweet yet light desserts perfect for starting the day.

As with other dining options on board, guests may order more than one entree or side if desired at no additional cost.

The breakfast is described in strange rhyme on Carnival’s website: “Green Eggs and Bacon Breakfast with the Cat in the Hat and Friends – It’s a mouthful to say, but delicious to enjoy,
whether you are a mother or a father, a girl or a boy!”

Guests of all ages are welcome at this event, which is suitable for every member of the family. of cost is $7 per personregardless of age.

Along with a fun and memorable menu, guests at the Eggs and Bacon Breakfast will also be able to create fun memories by meeting familiar characters from Dr. Seuss, including The Cat in the Hat, Sam I Am, Thing 1 and Thing 2, and more.

Character appearances may vary by ship, but all guests will have ample photo opportunities if desired.

The entire dining space is also decorated in bold hues, popular with illustrations by Dr. Seuss, and photo booths are set up for lots of fun photos, where guests are welcome to use their cameras to capture every moment.

How to join

The Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast is part of Carnival Cruise Line’s Seuss at Sea partnership, which began in 2013. and has expanded over the years to include stories, character appearances, parades, games and more.

The delicious food is offered only once per cruise, usually on the last day of the cruise, and sells out quickly not only because of its fun atmosphere, but because of its incredibly affordable price.

Depending on the size of the ship and the availability of dining space, two seats may be available to accommodate more guests, but it is best to make reservations as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
