Jody Venturoni has joined Carnival Corporation as Chief Communications Officer of the world’s #1 cruise line company.
She is responsible for internal and external PR and liaison for the philanthropic arm of the Carnival Foundation.
Venturoni reports to Josh Weinsten, president/CEO and chief climate officer.
She joins the Miami-based firm from LDWW, where Venturoni was a founding partner at Dallas’ largest independent marketing communications shop.
Venturoni was executive VP and Hill+Knowlton Strategies and served a 14-year term as president of Weber Shandwick’s Southwest region, advising clients such as ExxonMobil, General Motors, the US Army, Verizon and Omni Hotels,
While at Weber Shandwick, Venturoni was a corporate communications consultant for American Airlines. She helped manage America’s response to the 9/11 attacks, the downing of AA Flight 587 in Queens, and the failed 2001 shoe bomb plot.
Carnival is the parent company of the Cunard, Carnival, Princess, Holland America, P&O Cruises, AIDA, Costa and Seabourn brands.
The company reported a more than 80 percent jump in third-quarter revenue to $4.3 billion as post-pandemic travel rebounded. It posted a loss of $770 million.
