In Brazil, the number of people adopting veganism is increasing every day. Data from the Brazilian Vegetarian Association (SVB) reported that last year alone, the number of vegans approached 7 million, a result that placed the country in first place in the ranking, in all of Latin America. In the food sector, for example, it refers to people who choose to consume plant products – fiber, grains, cereals, oilseeds – in favor of protecting animals, avoiding foods of origin in their diet, such as eggs, milk, meat and fish.
In Rio de Janeiro, to attract this public, many restaurants now include vegan food on the menu. This is what Stilo Restaurante is called, inside Laghetto Stilo Barra, on the first floor of the hotel. In its gastronomic composition, the environment presents a menu prepared by a well-known chef, which positively influenced the palate of the guests. Highlights include ‘Asparagus Risotto’, ‘Refreshing Salad’, with cucumber, mango and peach hearts of palm; and ‘Vegan Moqueca de Banana da Terra’, made with peppers, red onion, coconut milk and coriander, served with white rice.
For dessert, fresh fruit salad, cut and served with mint. Stilo Restaurante is open from Sunday to Sunday, always from 12:30 to 23:00.
