Brazilian private household consumption accumulated an increase of 2.84% from January to September this year.
In September, consumption in the country was affected by the drop in food prices and the indicator closed the month with a high level of 0.39% compared to August.
Compared to the same period of 2021, the increase is 11.19%.
The data is from the Brazilian Supermarket Association (Abras) and the values are smoothed by the National Index of Consumer Prices (IPCA) from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
For 2022, Abras predicts a cumulative increase of up to 3.3. . .
