West Indies wicketkeeper-batsman Denesh Ramdin has retired from international cricket.
The 37-year-old made the announcement on Instagram on Friday but left open the possibility of playing exclusive cricket.
“The last 14 years have been a dream come true. I fulfilled my childhood dreams playing cricket for Trinidad and Tobago and the West Indies. My career gave me the opportunity to see the world, make friends from different cultures and still be able to appreciate where I came from,” Ramdin wrote on Instagram.
Ramdin played 74 Tests, 139 ODIs and 71 T20Is, apart from 161 first-class matches, 219 List A games and 229 T20 matches.
He made his Test and ODI debuts in 2005, with his last game for West Indies in both formats in 2016.
Ramdin scored 2898 runs at 25.87 at Test level, and 2200 ODI runs at 25.00.
He also had 217 dismissals in Test matches and 188 in ODIs.
Ramdin also represented West Indies in T20Is between 2006 and 2019, accounting for 63 dismissals.
