West Virginia University conducted a test of the WVU Alert emergency messaging system on Wednesday (August 24).
If you did not receive an email or text message during this test, visit alert.wvu.edu to add or update your contact information and make sure it is correct. Faculty and staff must manually register their email addresses and mobile phone numbers to receive WVU alerts.
We encourage all employees and students to attend @WVUalert Twitter, @WVUsafety Twitter, and the WVU Safety and Wellness Facebook page to receive important updates. Students can also use the LiveSafe app to receive messages. Other features of the app include the ability to anonymously report tips to WVU Police through two-way live communication and virtually walk home with friends or family.
