RESTAURANTE RICARDINHO, VISTA LINDA E COMIDA DELICIOSA NO PONTAL DE ATAFONA!

The story of RESTAURANTE RICARDINHO, told by the friendly couple, CAMILA HISSA, daughter of Ricardinho and her husband LUCAS MIRANDA (the current chef of the restaurant), begins in 1978, in the old Pontal, at Atafona beach, and is now in its fifth . building, as the other four were taken from the sea due to sea and wind erosion that occurred over the years.

Camila’s father and mother, in a real pilgrimage, from one place to another, (while the sea advanced destroying everything around them) were tireless starting from the first square and finally, the restaurant reached where it is today!

With a beautiful view of the Paraíba do Sul river delta, with a privileged outdoor shaded area and a fresh breeze, Restaurante Ricardinho takes us into a beautiful contact with nature and the tranquility that the privileged place conveys to us.

Passion, persistence, dedication to her customers and above all, a lot of love and dedication to make her delicious dishes known throughout the region, made her famous and so special!

Resistance is the word described by Camila Hissa throughout the struggles, victories and achievements of the restaurant!

●BUT WHO WAS THE FAMOUS RICARDINHO?

Ricardo Hissa, known as “Ricardinho”, was a man with a big smile! Descendant of the Lebanese, the founder of the restaurant, a popular guy, with many friends and who, of course, gathered many people around him, for his friendliness, his ability to never lose a fight, always ready to help friends of him, being a true man of respect and character! Definitely unforgettable!

THE BEGINNING OF THE RESTAURANT

It all started when Camila’s grandfather set up a fishmonger for her mother and Ricardinho, her father, was the merchant who took customers to the fishmonger.

With this in mind, his friends would buy the fish and ask for it to be done on the spot, in a pleasant, informal conversation, consumed with what were called “mike beans”, served with shrimp or dried meat, meanwhile waiting for the fish to be ready, starting the restaurant!

ABOUT THE PLEASURE SERVED IN THE RESTAURANT

The famous cassava tree, much sought after by customers, was a recipe prepared by Ricardinho’s late mother (Camila’s paternal grandmother) and perfected by her maternal grandmother, passed down from generation to generation, being the current flagship of the restaurant. The cupcake is made daily, like everything else at home, so it’s not frozen. A treat, with incredible demand, to the point where we have anxious customers waiting to enjoy them!

Fresh food, well seasoned, with the taste I love more! Hearty, generous menu with varieties including prawns, seafood, red meat, chicken, very tasty moquecas, super filling pastries, snacks and the famous mica beans, which was once created by Ricardinho, to welcome his friends around the table and that goes on. to be served with much joy and dedication by the lovely and super friendly staff!

I tried the delicacies, washed down with a delicious Pitanga juice, which is a local fruit from São João da Barra, and which will make me come back and recommend the restaurant, the professionalism, the friendliness and the wonderful nature of Pontal de Atafona. a paradise in the state of Rio de Janeiro!
