TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Ryan Robinson has been named director of operations, track coach at Alabama Dan Waters announced this week.
Robinson joins the Crimson Tide staff after two years with the Washington State football program, where he completed his tenure as director of operations.
“We are thrilled to have Ryan on board. He has operational experience at the highest level and has developed the essential skills needed when it comes to working with large teams. He brings a great range of expertise and knowledge to our program , with more than a decade working in various roles within the collegiate experience. He will make a huge difference for our student-athletes, coaches and support staff.”

- Coordinated all aspects of Washington State operations, including team travel, preseason camp, day-to-day logistics, and recruiting
- Spent the 2020 season as the Cougars’ assistant director of player personnel
- Spent four years (2016-19) as director of football operations at New Mexico State after working on the football staff in various capacities the previous two years (2014-16)
- Lubbock-Cooper High School Football Coach (2013-14)
- Served as performance coach at Tidewater Performance (2012-13) in Newport News, Va.
- Head football and track and field coach at Hyde Park Baptist School (2010-12) in Austin, Texas
- Worked at the University of Texas in a variety of capacities, including strength and conditioning and fitness (2009-12)
- Robinson played football for Middle Tennessee State, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2008
