Castries, Saint Lucia: The highly anticipated, exciting and culturally rich Carnival of Saint Lucia has knocked on the doors of citizens as the Ministry of Tourism, Investments, Creativity, Industries, Culture and Information hosted the media launch of the event.

The carnival will be held from July 1 to 19, 2023, with the theme – “Nothing Sweeter Than This”. The festival will be organized by the Ministry of Tourism in partnership with the Culture Development Foundation and the Carnival Planning and Management Committee.

Saint Lucia, after the launch of the date, became the first island to prepare for the popular main destination festival. It will help enhance the marketing strategy of the Saint Lucia brand.

The Ministry also launched the calendar of events which included various mass and exciting activities, competitions and concerts. The venue will witness Calypso and Soca Monarch competitions, King and Queen of Bands, Panorama, Carnival Queen Show, J’ouvert, private parties, concerts and the two-day Parade of Bands.

As one of the first islands to launch an attraction lineup for Carnival 2023, the St. Lucia Tourism Authority will join the announcement as we head off with a media launch on October 6, in Miami, Florida. This initiative serves as part of our strategy to capture early benefits from pent-up demand for the upcoming St. Lucia Carnival. He will be joined by the Minister of Tourism Dr Ernest Hilaire and other delegations.

During the launch, the team at the St. Lucia Tourism Authority, led by marketing and events manager Christopher Gustave, will represent other Carnival brands and also showcase National Carnival Events.

The event will also be joined by Travel Trade, Diaspora Leaders, Carnival Influencers, Miami Carnival Leadership and Miami-based carnival promoters.

sustainable mutually beneficial collaboration between Miami Carnival and Saint Lucia Carnival audiences.

Various offerings including Soca will be represented by ‘Ezra Da Fun Machine’ and Road March Runner Up, ‘Shemmy J’, both supported by ‘DJ Hyper D’.

On October 7, 2022, different people will gather to witness Saint Lucia’s offerings and their Afro-fusion superstar ‘Burna Boy’.
