Sands Shopping Carnival to be back in September




The three-day business platform Sands Shopping Carnival will be held on September 10-12, after being postponed in July due to the city’s latest pandemic outbreak.

The event, held at The Venetian Cotai Expo, aims to boost the business of local SMEs and Sands vendors amid the pandemic, while providing a fun weekend destination for residents and tourists during the Mid-Autumn Festival, Sands said. The carnival will have more than 580 booths and will also include children’s games and competitions. This is the third edition of this annual event, which started in 2020 and attracted over 210,000 over the past two years, the operator added.

Sands also stressed that it will adopt a series of strict sanitary and safety measures to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. Additionally, all exhibitors will need to either be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in the two weeks prior to the event or submit a negative nucleic acid test result obtained within seven days prior to September 10.
