Sculptra is a collagen biostimulator with a plumping function that can be used to restore facial volume lost due to aging.
It contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible synthetic substance that stimulates collagen production. Sculptra provides lasting, natural-looking results that can last up to two years.
It can be used to treat deep lines, furrows, wrinkles to give a more youthful appearance. It is also used to treat loss of facial fat (lipoatrophy).
The procedure is performed in the office by a qualified healthcare professional. No pre-test is required for the treatments and you can return to your normal activities immediately after the treatment.
No special preparation is needed, but topical anesthesia or facial anesthesia may be used for comfort.
Results before and after the sculpt
Some results can be seen after just one treatment, but full results take several weeks. The treatment usually consists of three application sessions over three or four months. Results can last up to two years.
