Secretaria de Cidadania leva 50 jovens de unidades de reinserção social a sessão de cinema

Last Tuesday, September 6, the Special Municipal Secretariat for Citizenship promoted an activity with young people from three social reintegration units: Cely Campelo, Casa Viva Bangu and Paulo Freire. The action took about 50 teenagers, aged between 13 and 16, to a film session. They had fun with “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero”, at the UCI Network at Park Shopping, in Jacarepaguá, Rio.

The action aims to guarantee the right of community coexistence of sheltered minors, guaranteed by the Statute of Children and Adolescents – ECA. Based on this experience, the Secretariat aims to expand the planning of public policies that promote the exercise of citizenship by children in a shelter situation.

The action followed the advice of the chairman of the Committee for Children and Adolescents of the Legislative Chamber, councilor Thais Ferreira.

For the Secretary of Citizenship Renato Moura, the initiative was an exercise of culture and citizenship and there should be further developments. “Young people need to be stimulated. Giving them opportunities is the best way for them to have a more promising future,” says Renato.
