Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter hasn’t made everyone happy. There are users who are not active on the platform and there are those who have left it altogether. Comic writer Castle of Danwho wrote about She-Hulk: Lawyer and is the writer of Fantastic Four: World’s Greatest Heroes as well as both The Amazing Spider-Man AND The Last Spider-Manis urging anyone planning to leave to make sure they save their data on exit.

Twitter isn’t just a social media platform where users can reminisce about having good times with other Twits; it’s a body of work that many people take seriously. There are thoughts, images and videos of everything they’ve done, and many of them have been in the space for years. It’s a lot of work to walk away and see it deleted forever.

All of this activity makes one wonder what Elon Musk actually got out of this deal. He wanted to withdraw because the executives would not answer his questions about the number of bots that were counted as users. When they threatened legal action, he thought it over and decided he didn’t want to go down that road. Since he moved to Twitter, users have been dropping like flies. Different amounts are reported online, but all totals come to a very significant number.

Did Musk buy a $44 billion lemon? Only time will tell.
