Port of Spain – We are pleased to announce the Single Pan Finals Competition of the Trinidad and Tobago National Music Festival, “Steelpan is the most beautiful – Canopeum Amoris”. This event is proudly held under the distinguished patronage of Dr. the Honorable Keith Rowley, Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The competition will take place on Saturday 27 July 2024 at Queen’s Hall, commencing at 7pm.
This premier event represents the first phase of the competition, showcasing the incredible talent of ten Steelbands from the T&T Steelband Movement performing classical music in the Steelpan. This event celebrates the Steelpan, the national instrument of Trinidad and Tobago, and offers a heartfelt tribute to its legacy. As a gift to the global community, this festival highlights the enduring beauty and importance of Steelpan.
