Sixers Summer League Report | July 15, 2022

The Summer 76ers will play their penultimate Summer League game on Friday in Las Vegas, facing the Denver Nuggets.

The Sixers head into Friday’s game back in the win column after a 75-71 win over the Miami Heat on Wednesday.

Trevelin Queen and Malik Ellison led the way in Wednesday’s win, while Isaiah Joe, Jaden Springer and Myles Powell were out.

Wednesday’s Top Contributors

  • Queen had 16 points, five rebounds and four assists in his 30 minutes of play.

“Just bringing energy and playing hard the whole game,” Queen said of what he prides himself on as a player. “Whether it’s offense, defense, on the bench, getting water … whatever it is, I feel like I do it at a high level.”

  • Ellison posted a double-double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, plus two assists, one steal and two blocks.
  • Ellison shot 6-for-13 from the field in 28 minutes of action.
  • Bey finished with 14 points, three rebounds and a block. He shot a perfect 4-for-4 from the field, 1-for-1 from deep and 5-for-6 from the foul line.
  • Bey finished with a game-high +14.
  • Winston had nine points, two rebounds and seven assists. He shot 4-for-7 from the field in 28 minutes.
  • Foster recorded nine points, five rebounds and one block. He shot 3-for-6 from the field and 3-for-4 from the foul line.

After Friday’s game, the Sixers will play another game in the Las Vegas Summer League on Saturday at 7:00 PM ET against the Chicago Bulls.

The Nuggets won their latest Summer League game on Wednesday, defeating the LA Clippers, 80-75.

Matt Mitchell was Denver’s leading scorer, finishing with 17 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals. He shot 6-for-12 from the field and 5-for-10 from long range in the win.

Jack White added 14 points, six rebounds, an assist, two steals and a block, while Villanova product Collin Gillespie recorded 12 points, five rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block.
