South East won the Scotiabank Nextgen U15 title after the final against Central Zone was abandoned due to a wet pitch at the National Cricket Center in Balmain, Couva.
South East Zone were 152 for 8 in 32 overs when play was called just before 4pm.
South East, who qualified for the finals on the back of three straight wins, were declared winners after entering the finals with the most points scored in the preliminary round.
The young champions had also beaten their Central Zone opponents in their opening match en route to the final.
The final was interrupted several times due to rainy conditions, but the final rain break ended all chances of the match continuing.
Central had won the toss and slotted into the South East after the first 90 minutes were lost to early morning rain and a soggy ground at the north end.
Justin Hamid (29) and Amit Chan (19) scored 60 for the first wicket before wickets fell to Aadi Ramsaran, Aadi Ramsaran, and Dimitri Ramjattan.
Ramsaran took 4 for 35 and Ramjattan 3/31 to reduce South East to 108 for 7 in 28 overs.
However, the classy Zane Maraj (29) and a Sachin Rambharat (17 not out) were digging the South East out of trouble when rains ended all chances of continuing play.
The U15 final came two days after Central Zone won the U19 title in sunshine at the National Cricket Centre.
Trinidad and Tobago has been under a yellow high wind alert since 14:51 Thursday.
Summary results: South East 152 for 8 in 32 overs (Hamid 29, Maraj 29; Ramsaran 4/35, Ramjattan 3/31) vs Central. The match was abandoned.
