SPD seeks public information on Spokane-area scamming suspect

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Police Department is actively investigating a scam where over $100,000 was stolen.

The suspect, whom victims call “Crypto Mike,” claims to be an investor and convinces victims to wire him money to invest in cryptocurrency.

It is said that “Mike” takes the money and disappears, and many people in the Spokane area reported that “Mike” stole from them.

SPD has released photos of the suspect, who is believed to have fled Spokane and currently has a warrant for his arrest in California for theft. This person is suspected of fraud but has not yet been charged.
