What is the match?
St Lucia Kings take on Guyana Amazon Warriors in the 2022 Caribbean Premier League.
When is it taking place?
The match is scheduled to take place at 19:00 local time (GMT-5) on Saturday, September 10.
Where is the match played?
This game will be played at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, St Lucia.
Who has the form?
Well, not really either. Between the two teams, they have registered a single win in seven matches. The Guyana Amazon Warriors’ only point so far has come in a drop, although that should have changed on Thursday.
In the driving seat going into the penultimate end of their clash with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Shimron Hetmyer’s side were contrived to lose despite having 38 runs to defend in 12 balls. With 22 needed in the final over, Dwaine Pretorius smashed Romario Shepherd for three consecutive sixes in a remarkable late flurry. Earlier Hetmyer and Chandrapaul Hemraj had each made 40 but both were in vain.
Meanwhile, the Kings got off the mark by trailing 164cm to Jamaica’s Tallawahs in a thriller. They found themselves 39 for 4 and 75 for 5, but thanks largely to Johnson Charles’ 64 and lower-order cameos from Tim David, Roshon Primus and David Wiese, they broke through the line with two balls to spare. Recently, however, they have been on the wrong end of a similar game, with Barbados Royals being eased into a chase of 170.

What is the match to watch?
It will be fascinating to see how Guyana recover from the shock of the latest defeat and who Hetmyer turns to at the death should the situation arise again. He looked determined for Odean Smith to complete the final, before giving the ball to Shepherd, so one wonders which way he will go next time.
Otherwise, on surfaces that are becoming increasingly used and spin-friendly, the treatment of Guyana’s spinners will be worth watching, with Imran Tahir, Gudakesh Motie and Tabraiz Shamsi all involved. Faf du Plessis, who captained Shamsi and Tahir at international level, will be key here.
What’s the news from the camps?
For St Lucia, Jeavor Royal could return after being replaced by Mark Deyal for the loss to Barbados Royals. Niroshan Dickwella made his debut for the franchise on Thursday after arriving from the Asia Cup.
