Sunak and Lula da Silva talk about strengthening cooperation between the United Kingdom and Brazil

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Brazil’s president-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva spoke about their plans to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, a British government statement said.

In the text released by a spokesman for Downing Street – the residence and office of the chief executive in London – he explained that the two leaders spoke by phone and Sunak “reiterated his congratulations on the victory in the elections held in October in Brazil by President-elect Lula da Silva and both agreed on the importance of promoting democratic values.
