RANGERS travel to face Ajax on Wednesday and any traveling fans should read the information below.

HOW TO GET THERE

Public transport

The best way to get from Amsterdam city center to the stadium is by metro line 54. You will be escorted on the dedicated subway trains to Strandvliet-ArenA for the stadium.

Amsterdam’s public transport service (GVB) no longer accepts cash when buying tickets on trams, buses or metro trains in Amsterdam.

You can buy tickets by credit card (not American Express) on buses and trams or at payment points at the main bus and tram stations, Amsterdam Central Station and Schiphol Airport. Additional information can be found at GVB – Klantenservice | GVB

Driving

The arena can be reached via the A1, A2, A9 and A10 motorways. From the A2 (Utrecht – Amsterdam) take the exit S211 (Ouderkerk a/d Amstel/Duivendrecht/Diemen).

Follow the signs Amsterdam Zuidoost/Transferium at the end. Cars and buses can be parked at P-Bus. From there it is a short walk to the stadium entrance and metro station. You can park your car here during the day as you go downtown.

The nearest disabled parking is in P1, but these spaces will be sold. All other parking garages around the stadium have handicapped parking spaces and elevators. Ajax suggested you use P4/5.

Another option is to arrange a taxi ride. In this case, supporters should use the taxi stand at the north end of the stadium (next to the Endemol studio).

Route to the bus park (P bus)

From the direction A2 (motorway) Utrecht/Amsterdam:

  • Take exit 1, Ouderkerk a/d Amstel, then turn left at the traffic lights (Johan Cruijff ArenA is ahead of you)

  • Follow the two lanes to the right with the reference “Duivendrecht – P2/P-Bus”, the road goes down with a curve

  • At the T-junction with traffic lights, turn left onto Holterbergweg

  • Go (under) the overpass and pedestrian bridge

  • At the traffic lights take the ‘P bus’ turn (after the white Endemol building, immediately on the right)

  • After 25 meters you will see P-Bus on the left

TICKET COLLECTION

Please note that the ticket collection point is at the stadium and will be open from 3 in the afternoon to 6 in the afternoon IN Tuesday and from 10 o’clock in the morning to departure IN The day of the match.

Rangers supporters should just collect their ticket and photo ID will be required for all ticket collections.

Please note that this rule is being strictly enforced and any supporters who do not collect their tickets will forfeit their MyGers points and receive no refund.

ACCESS TO THE AWAY SECTION

You will enter the stadium at North Entrance K and your seats are in blocks 415, 416 and 417. Entrance K will open two hours before kick-off.

Please arrive as soon as possible as the entry procedures may take some time. Amsterdam Police and Ajax may decide to set up an additional ticket check to ensure a quick and safe entry.

After that, a body check will be done by the stadium security. Sniffer dogs may be present to detect drugs or pyrotechnics. An electronic ticket check will be carried out on the rolls.

Ajax has confirmed that power banks will be allowed.

Flags are welcome in the stadium. As always, please note that it is usual policy and normal ground rules at football stadiums in the UK and elsewhere in Europe that flags of an overtly religious/sectarian/political nature will not be permitted and may be confiscated. Please respect this request.

Please note that any flag larger than 1m by 1m must be fire resistant and proof will need to be shown.

NO LITTLE

Payments at concession stands can only be made with credit and debit cards. The contactless payment system increases fast and hygienic service.

OFFICIAL BAG POLICY

Please leave your bags in the bus, car or hotel. Bags larger than A4 size are not allowed in the stadium. There are no deposits available.

TOBACCO

Smoking is prohibited throughout the stadium complex.

AFTER MATCH

Rangers fans are expected to be held after the game. The other away teams are kept approx. 30 minutes after the match.

RECOMMENDED SUPPORT AREA

Dam Square has been proposed by the police as a meeting point for fans. From there you will need to go to the metro station near Stadium Central Station.

Anyone without a ticket for the match is advised to stay in the city center to watch the match on TV as there are no bars close to the stadium.

However, all fans should avoid Monico pubs, Hof van Holland and the surrounding pubs on Rembrandtplein as they will be busy with Ajax fans.

Please continue to respect local amenities and cultures; placing flags or banners on local statues or historical monuments or architecture may offend local residents.

We advise you to carry your passport for identification purposes if required.

Police will escort all fans at 16:00 on a special fan train that will allow fans to enter the stadium.
