Susana Giménez will lead the Argentinian version of LOL: Last One Laughing

Prime Video is producing the Argentine version of the Amazon Original series LOL: Last One Laughing. Ten comedians from all over that Latin American country will participate in the competition; They include Migue Granados, Lucas Spadafora, Yayo Guridi, Juampi Gonzalez, Mica Lapegue, Charo Lopez and Julian Lucero.

Each of these profiles is different. There are stand-up comedians, political comedians and characters born in the age of the internet and social media platforms.

Each of the participants must try to make his opponents laugh; and at the same time, must avoid laughter in order not to eliminate and move forward in the program.

The winner of LOL receives a cash prize, which will later be donated to a non-governmental organization.

LOL Argentina will be presented by the famous actress and TV presenter Susana Giménez. “Her presence will bring global attention to the comedy scene in Argentina. She is an icon and will rule the house with her style and personality. We’re sure Prime Video members will enjoy this show as much as audiences around the world,” said Javiera Balmaceda, Local Originals for Amazon Studios Latin America, Canada and Australia, in a statement.

Giménez will be accompanied by actor Grego Rosello as her assistant.

The comedy reality show is an adaptation of the popular Japanese Prime Original series called Hitoshi Matsumoto Presents Documentary. Japanese film director and comedian Hitoshi Matsumoto directs this show in which ten comedians have to bet money and participate in a laugh battle where anything goes.

The start of filming and the release date have not been confirmed by the streaming platform.

This is not the first time that Prime Video has Susana Giménez, who in addition to being a presenter is also a film, theater and television actress as well as a businesswoman. In 2021, the popular 78-year-old Latin TV diva was part of the cast of the comedy series “Porno y Helado”.

Argentina’s catalog includes several local productions such as “Maradona: The Blessed Dream”, “Argentina” and other upcoming projects such as “Barrabrava”.
