Talparo escape with win in Norman’s cricket

TALPARO youngsters clinched the narrowest of victories when matches in the Windball 12-Over Norman Cricket League resumed at the Eddie Hart Savannah in Tacarigua recently.

Talparo Youths closed at 61/6 in 12 overs chasing 62 to win against AS II. Batting first, AS II scored 61/8.

The rules of the tournament state that if two teams finish with the same score, the team that concedes the fewest wickets will be awarded the victory.

Ronald Ramcharan scored 27 for AS II and Dillon Mahadeo top scored with 14. Bowling for Talparo Youths, Dillon Mata grabbed 2/3 and Kyle Chung grabbed 2/5.

Ryan Baksh led Talparo in the run chase with a strikeout of 22.
