About exhibitions
“Everything else between us” is the new exhibition solo exhibition by artist and photographer Andréa Brêtas from Rio de Janeirowith watercolor style paintings of acrylic paint on canvas and aluminum and an installation, which deals with human relationships and the ‘knots’ that exist in the middle of the road, the impasses and difficulties, but also the calmness and ease that it has. wait after going through these unmade nodes.
“Tudo Mais Entre Nós” talks about before and after, but the importance of crossing this middle path, like a prism where the light falls and opens into seven colors. When we talk about the paintings of Andréa Brêtas, we talk about the specific way in which she relates to her time and stamps that time, with its conflicts and contradictions.
O painter and photographer Almir Reis PRESENT exhibition “20 years”, bringing a retrospective of his artistic trajectory, based on a plural art, technological and architectural sources, in color or black and white, showing the carioca landscape, geometric shapes and pools, which invite you to immerse yourself in his work. Almir Reis exhibits his inspirations, which include pop art, collages and mixed media, leaving the viewer free to interpret.
“In my grandmother’s house there was a painting in the living room, I went home and I was always drawn to two things I love: art and architecture. She lived in a small town in the interior of Bahia, where it was very hot. image refreshing. I was only 11 years old and it was my first contact with a print by the English artist David Hockney. As an adult, after having more contact with museums and galleries, I had already entered art through photography. which let’s say- if in passing it opened the doors of the world to me, where I could more lovingly show the beautiful landscapes of our Brazil, very strongly connected with my childhood. My subconscious had stored that image somewhere in my brain, which came to the surface when I contemplated this work. From then on, I started to go through all the inspiration of the artist. I believe that every artist is inspired by other artists, even if it is unconsciously. I have always been a fan of Pop Art, collages and plural art, like collages t and mix-media (mixmedia). I feel that this exhibition takes me to a story of my life, my inspirations, bringing to this 20-year retrospective, from the beginning with the photographs of the landscape of Rio de Janeiro, a toast to everyone’s eyes, passing through the geometry , something more. visual and mathematical, and sitting in these pools, something refreshing, pleasant and social. I try to make my art universal, where my landscapes could mean Rio, or Palm Springs or even the Brazilian Northeast, I leave it up to the viewer. I make a good “dive” in my art”. Noura Timm presents the exhibition “Archetypal Brazil”, bringing works that are based on archetypes – ideas as original models of all existing things -, based on the historical outline of Brasília. The parts show archetypes that represent the instinct perceived by the senses and with their personality.
In the words of Regina Nobrez, curator of the show together with Riccardo Tartaglia, “his works are about archetypes in unconscious projections, formed mainly by elements related to what Jung (Carl Gustav Jung, psychoanalyst, anthropologist, philosopher ) called shadows. This theory will be used in an attempt to explain the origin of the archetypal forms visualized in some buildings in Brasília, analyzing the results of shadow projections, in the definitions of spaces, taking as an example the historical profile of Brasília .A place as an individual who can display several archetypes in her personality, but usually one of them is dominant, and Brasília develops the potentials and the search for knowledge and the practice of self-reflection, which the artist tries to convey in the works of her… and in her magical art in Brasília.”
About Tartaglia Arte
Tartaglia Arte was founded in 1950 as a painting studio by the artist Piero Tartaglia, then known as Piery. After a few years, he created a point of reference and cultural meeting with other artists and young talents where, under the guidance of the Master, they developed their personal style. Tartaglia’s extraordinary passion for pictorial expression with bursts of pure color and violent contrasts that bring the canvas to life gave birth to the School of Disgregationism. Later, he founded the Galleries, for the permanent exhibition of his works and those of his students, which are now managed by his son Riccardo. Love for art and a broad cultural vision are the characteristics of this great artist and represent his moral and spiritual legacy. The legacy that continues to be represented by Riccardo Tartaglia, who works with the same seriousness and persistence in spreading art, through exhibitions and international events.
