Lawyers representing the country’s major social networks – Twitter, Telegram, Tik Tok, Google and Meta – have appealed Judge Alexandre de Moraes’ rulings to Brazil’s Supreme Court (STF), citing “pre-censorship”.
Representatives contend that Moraes’ stipulations encourage blanket censorship of content that is often legal.
Therefore, they request that the Court’s decisions clearly state what content is considered illegal.
