Tennessee Cross Country Announces 2022 Schedule

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. Head Coach and Director of Cross Country/Distance Sean Carlson has announced the men’s and women’s cross country schedule for the 2022 campaign.

The schedule features four races during the regular season, starting at home with the Tennessee Cross Country Invitational on Sept. 2 at 8 a.m. ET. The home meet will be held at the Cherokee Farm Cross Country Course.

On September 16, Tennessee and Florida State will play a doubleheader at Appalachian State in Boone, North Carolina. Two weeks later, the Vols and Lady Vols will head north to Louisville, Kentucky, to compete in the Live In Lou Cross Country Classic on October 1st.

The Big Orange will then enter an extended training cycle as it prepares for the SEC Championship on Oct. 28. Ole Miss will host the 2022 conference meet in Oxford, Mississippi.

The following week, Tennessee makes the short trip to Blacksburg, Virginia, to compete in the Hokie Open hosted by Virginia Tech.

The NCAA South Regional Championships are scheduled for Nov. 11 in Huntsville, Alabama, with the NCAA National Championships coming up the following weekend in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Nov. 19.
