The original Greek festival

The annual event in Montrose features authentic Greek cuisine, wines, dance performances, family entertainment, games, entertainment and shopping.

‘Disney’s Winnie the Pooh’

The Hobby Center welcomes “Disney’s Winnie the Pooh,” a musical stage adaptation featuring life-size puppets of the title character along with Tigger, Christopher Robin, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit and Owl. The show features the classic music of the Grammy Award-winning Sherman Brothers with additional vocals by AA Milne.

43rd Annual Chicano Festival

The annual festival at the Miller Outdoor Theater celebrates the artistic creativity that has evolved into the Chicano cultural experience after centuries of influence from indigenous peoples, Mexico, Europeans and the United States. This year’s performers include Elida Reyna y Avante with La Fiebre and Ram Herrera and Little Joe y La Familia.

Bayou City Art Festival downtown

The Bayou City Arts Festival returns to Sam Houston Park this weekend. The two-day event attracts over 220 artists from 19 disciplines and features live performances, an active imagination zone for children of all ages, a craft beer garden, a food truck park, a wine garden, an interactive community art project, the inaugural Collegiate Art Collective Exhibition and a Culinary Arts Stage.

Poder Hispano/Hispanic Power

The Houston Botanical Garden’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebration will feature children’s cultural arts activities, a variety of musical and folkloric presentations, food from several Latin American countries and shopping with local Latino-owned businesses.

Black Heritage Festival

After a long hiatus due to the pandemic, the festival returns with a multi-day series to promote African-American culture through live music and dance performances, visual arts, a fashion show and delicious food. Featured performers include Eric Benet, Elle Varner, DJ Elevated, Keyun & the Zydeco Masters and Ruben Moreno & Zydeco Re-Volution.

Katy Rice Harvest Festival

The annual event, which began to celebrate the end of the rice harvest season, marks the return of the community rice cooking competition and carnival with a Ferris wheel and other rides and games. Adding to the festivities are a beer garden, live music on three stages, a children’s zone with inflatables, performances by local youth arts organizations, food trucks and an art market.
