The Fort Worth Botanical Garden just announced its lineup for this year’s ¡Celebramos! Event Celebration of Latin American Culture and Heritage, presented by Charles Schwab Bank.
This celebration, which includes a variety of live performances, exhibitions, dining experiences and shopping opportunities, will take place from September 14th to October 27th.
“Let’s celebrate! exemplifies the Fort Worth Botanical Garden’s commitment to fostering cultural diversity and appreciation,” Patrick Newman, FWBG president and CEO, said in a release. “It serves as a wonderful opportunity to honor the contributions and traditions of the Latin American community in a amazing. the natural environment.”
This slate of events, which is suitable for children of all ages, begins on September 14 with a Latin American Flag Parade and Free Admission Day, where attendees can enjoy free access to the Garden while witnessing a performance colorful flags from many countries.

Family Welfare Day (September 21): Enjoy a day of wellness at the Garden and participate in workshops and activities that promote healthy living, including nutrition tips and giveaways from Hope Texas Health Community (10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.). UNT Health Sciences Center representatives will also be on hand for individual health screenings. Learn about financial wellness in GM Financial’s Keys program sessions (1:30 p.m. in English and 2:30 p.m. in Spanish) held in the lecture hall. All activities are included with general admission.
Tequila and Margarita Festival (September 21): Listen to live music and sample tequila and margaritas amid lush greenery and lively festivities in the Garden. Guests at the festival will enjoy unlimited drinks and food curated by Los Vaqueros Restaurant. Tickets for this after-hours event 21+ (8pm to midnight) can be purchased at fwbg.org.
Latin Dance Festival (September 22): Enjoy captivating performances and interactive dance lessons for all ages and experience levels. Instructors from local dance schools and companies will be on hand to guide guests in various forms of Latin dance. Close the evening with DJ Marcus Lopez and a free dance party! This event runs from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and is included in general admission.
Mariposa Market (September 28): Explore a vibrant market filled with Latin American crafts, jewelry, and artwork. This free event runs from 10am to 4pm and is in Carter’s Grove outside the main Garden Centre.
Latin American Flavors Food Festival (September 29): Enjoy a wide range of traditional dishes while sharing family recipes, learning some new ones and watching live demonstrations from some of the local area’s most respected chefs. This event is curated by Los Vaqueros Restaurant and is included in general admission.
Family Fun Day (October 5): Celebrate family and community with a day filled with music, dance, games and more. Children’s activities will run from 10:00am to 2:00pm and include face painting, arts and crafts, raffles, bounce houses, games and more! Also, the Blessing of the Animals will take place at 4:00 p.m. These events are included in general admission.
Quinceañera Fashion Show and Mariachi Festival (October 6): Produced by our friends at La Gran Plaza, this festival celebrates the beauty and tradition of Quinceañeras. This year’s event will also feature performances by talented local mariachi groups and folk dance groups. Also, don’t miss two special performances by Opera Fort Worth. These activities are free with general admission.
Fall After Hours Concert presented by Texas Capital (October 11): Join us for an enchanting evening of live music in the Leonard Courtyard with Aurora Bleu. This talented artist seamlessly blends vintage and contemporary sounds, drawing inspiration from a variety of genres including big band, swing, jump blues and jazz. Guests will also enjoy complimentary beverages and light bites. Tickets for this 21+ after-hours event can be purchased at fwbg.org.
Family Movie Night (October 12): Gather for an unforgettable movie night under the stars for a special screening of the animated film, wish. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome. The film screening will begin at 7:00 p.m., and admission to the event is $5 for a family of four.
Day of the Dead (October 27): Explore the beauty of the Garden for free while enjoying the annual marigold cascade and ofrenda alter honoring Dia de los Muertos. This year’s cascade will feature more than 46,000 marigolds cascading down the steps of the Rose Garden. Free entry is available from 12pm to 5pm courtesy of Paycom.
