The fall of the Democratic Information Wall on Twitter

new epoch Twitter launched last week with Elon Musk at the helm, and the changes are there for all to see.

From the very first moments of his inauguration, blocked accounts began to reappear and happy messages with previously censored words and news began to proliferate. The situation was reminiscent of the expressions of joy experienced during the fall of the Berlin Wall, saving, of course, the differences.

One news story, in particular, has become the perfect example of what this change in Twitter’s course could mean for free speech and the political and social consequences it could bring.

After the horrific hammer attack suffered by Paul Pelosi at his residence, the Democratic media apparatus went to work to politically instrumentalize the issue, accusing the attacker of being a QAnon supporter and virtually singling out Trump as the direct instigator of the attack.

If this situation had occurred before Elon Musk’s arrival on Twitter, the Democrats’ iron grip on information would have set this explanation in stone. However, the crack in the narrative presented by the new Twitter has allowed this version to be challenged.

Elon Musk’s “freed bird” has provided information and images of the event that allow the public to have reasonable doubt as to whether the explanation given by the Democrats is true. Now it can be assessed whether, as the Democrats say, it was an attack by an exalted Trump supporter, or whether, on the contrary, Paul Pelosi could have known his attacker, who would have attacked him for private and not political reasons.

What would once have been relegated to a conspiracy theory in obscure internet forums is now a matter of debate in the public square of Twitter. Beyond what actually happened in the Pelosi family, the important thing is that the new winds on Twitter have made it possible to unmask the tight control of the narrative that existed until now.

It is worth 44 billion dollars that everyone has access to all the information, and now they can compare and contrast in order to create an idea of reality according to their criteria.
