The Fiji Times » Tebara carnival back after two years

After a break of two years, Vodafone Tebara Carnival is back.

The popular holiday is scheduled to run from September 8 to September 15, says Vodafone Fiji Chief Marketing Officer Rajnesh Prasad.

He said like other events and occasions around Fiji, the Tebara Carnival was not held in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“In partnership with Nausori Town Council, I am delighted to announce the return of Fiji’s official carnival in 2022,” he said.

Mr Prasad said Vodafone had partnered with the council to host the carnival for the past 13 years and the aim of this year’s festival was to try to restore some normalcy.

“We hope that there will be more carnivals and festivals to come to serve as an ideal platform for normalcy again in our communities.”

“I encourage the public to come out in their numbers to enjoy the array of rides, delicious food and entertainment that will be offered by the various groups throughout the week of the festival.”

Mr. Prasad said that Vodafone will continue to sponsor and support events and initiatives that bring communities together.

The special administrator of Nausori, Uma Kant Patel thanked Vodafone for the support that the communication giant has given over the years.

“This year’s carnival will be very special as it will be the first in two years and people have been waiting for a carnival,” he said.
