The official Twitter profile of the Imperial House of Brazil, an institution representing Brazil’s imperial family, was taken offline on Thursday (December 15).
According to people close to the organization, the decision came from the Federal High Court (STF).
The profile is the official communication channel on behalf of Dom Bertrand de Orléans of Bragança, head of the House and great-grandson of Princess Isabel.
In a statement Thursday evening, the site called Confederação Monárquica do Brasil, speaking on behalf of the Imperial House, said it was unaware of the reason for the censorship. . .
