Here is an appeal for Vincentians to help the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Environment with the eradication of Mosquitoes as the rainy season progresses.
Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Roger Duncan said that while the rainy season promotes the growth of plants that are good for healthy eating, it also promotes the growth of mosquitoes.
He said mosquitoes can spread a number of diseases, including Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya.
Dr. Duncan urged residents to cooperate with the Department of Public Health as it implements the mosquito eradication program.
